Privacy
Where your data actually lives.
Two separate things: the software your pharmacy runs, and this website. They are described separately below, in plain language.
The software
HelMed stores your pharmacy data locally.
HelMed is a Windows desktop application. It installs on the pharmacy’s own computer, together with its own private MySQL database on that same computer. Sales, stock, batches, suppliers, client accounts, patients, prescriptions and reports are stored there.
We do not receive that data. There is no account to sign in to, no central server holding your records, and no requirement that your computer be online for you to work.
The optional services that do use the internet
A small number of features reach the internet, and only when you use them:
- Licence activation — checks and signs the branch licence and device status.
- Ministry of Public Health price synchronisation — fetches published medicine prices and writes them into your database.
- Phone-to-desktop invoice capture — moves a photograph of a supplier invoice from a phone to the desktop for review.
- Server backup — if you use it, sends copies of your backups off the machine to a server we run, so an off-site copy exists.
- The mobile app — connects to your system to show the dashboard, stock alerts and reports on a phone.
- AI invoice reading — reads a supplier invoice image so its lines can be reviewed on the desktop.
If you never use these features, HelMed does not need a connection at all.
All of these go to one place: our own server, in a Contabo data centre in France, in the European Union. No outside company processes your pharmacy data. Three of them carry pharmacy data off the machine:
- Server backup — each backup is encrypted (AES-256) before it is stored. Only HelMed’s administrators can open one, to restore it for you.
- The mobile app — your phone’s request passes through our server to your pharmacy computer and the answer comes straight back. The figures are not stored on the server, and the app shows statistics and stock alerts, not patient records.
- AI invoice reading — the invoice image is read on our server by our own AI, not by an outside AI company. The lines it reads go back to your desktop, and the image is deleted from the server after 30 days.
Ministry price synchronisation only downloads the published price list; it sends nothing about your pharmacy. Licence activation sends your licence and device status, nothing from your records.
Backups are yours to hold
HelMed includes backup and restore for the local database. Where you keep those backup files, and who can reach them, is under your control.
This website
No analytics, no trackers, no cookies.
This site is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, loads nothing from third-party services, and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. There is nothing here that follows you to other sites.
There is no form on this site and no account to create, so the website itself collects nothing you type.
Like any website, the server that delivers these pages may keep standard technical logs of requests.
This site is hosted on our own server at Contabo.
The server is in France, in the European Union. Its logs record the IP address, time, page requested and browser of each visit, and are deleted automatically after 14 days.
